Deryx Terms & Conditions

Definitions

"Deryx" means the mobile application and related support materials.

"Meal Journal" means the private food and nutrition logging tools inside the app.

"Community Feed" means posts, comments, likes, profiles, follows, reports, and blocking tools available to users.

"Coach" means the AI-supported guidance and food-photo analysis features available in the app.

"Credits" means the consumable in-app balance used for eligible paid Deryx features.

"User Content" means text, photos, profile details, meal logs, posts, comments, and prompts that you submit through Deryx.

Acceptance of Terms

When you create an account, log in, purchase Credits, submit content, or continue using Deryx, you accept these terms and the linked Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use Deryx.

Use of the Service

You may use Deryx only for lawful personal use and only in ways that do not interfere with the app, other users, or third-party service providers that support Deryx.

You must not misuse Coach, attempt to evade moderation, scrape content, submit infringing or abusive material, exploit purchase systems, or use Deryx for medical, legal, identity, or safety-critical decisions. Coach output is informational only and not professional medical advice.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, securing your device and sign-in access, and all activity that happens through your account unless the law says otherwise.

User Content and Community

You keep ownership of your User Content, but you grant Deryx a limited license to host, display, moderate, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Meal Journal, Community Feed, profile pages, and Coach workflows.

You may not post unlawful, threatening, abusive, misleading, pornographic, hateful, or infringing material. You may not impersonate others, misuse health claims, or submit content that invades another person’s privacy.

Deryx may remove content, limit visibility, suspend accounts, or disable community actions when content violates these terms or creates safety, legal, or operational risk. Users may also report posts, comments, or profiles and block other members within the app.

In-App Purchases and Credits

Credits are licensed, not sold. They are non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and have no cash value. Except where required by law, Credits are non-refundable and may only be used inside Deryx for eligible paid features.

Apple processes in-app purchases. If you need a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Deryx cannot override Apple’s refund process.

Unused Credits expire 12 months after the date they were granted or purchased unless the law in your region requires a longer period. Promotional Credits may expire sooner if clearly disclosed at the time of issue.

Deryx may suspend, cancel, or reverse Credits associated with fraud, chargebacks, platform errors, abuse of purchase systems, or violations of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Deryx, its branding, interfaces, copy, and software are owned by Deryx or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Deryx or any part of its software to you.

Medical Disclaimer and Source Citations

Deryx Assistant, Meal Journal summaries, food-photo analysis, and automated nutrition guidance are provided for general wellness and educational purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a licensed healthcare professional.

The general nutrition information made available through Deryx is grounded in the following public-health references, which are also available inside the app through About > Medical & Nutrition Sources:

• Dietary Guidelines for Americans - U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services.
• MyPlate Plan - U.S. Department of Agriculture.
• Healthy Eating and Physical Activity for Life - National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.

Meal Journal calorie and macro totals are derived from user-entered food records. They are estimates based on what the user logs and are not clinical or diagnostic measurements.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Deryx is provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deryx disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Coach responses, food-photo analysis, and other automated outputs may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. You are responsible for deciding how to use the information returned by the app.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deryx’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of USD $9.99 or the amount you paid to Deryx in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Service Availability

Deryx may change, pause, or discontinue any feature at any time for maintenance, security, legal compliance, third-party dependency changes, or product updates. Availability may vary by device, app version, or region.

Amendments

Deryx may update these terms when features, legal requirements, or providers change. For material updates, Deryx will provide in-app notification at least 14 days before the updated terms take effect.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction identified in Deryx’s primary business operations, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless local consumer law requires otherwise.
